Starting from Borghetto, a small medieval town located on the shore of Mincio river. Cross this beautiful area famous for its typical ‘Tortellini’ and pasta and leave the city behind immersing yourself in the flavors of the Morainic Hills, a unique territory surrounded by green sceneries and natural landscapes. Cycle through the historic centers of characteristic villages such as Custoza, a small town known for its “Custoza Doc” wine. The Battle of Custoza took place on the 24 June 1866 during the Third Italian War of Independence in the Italian unification process. Get to know the italian history and the stories behind this gorgeous place. You will discover more historical facts when visiting the Ossary of Custoza a crucial landmark within the context of Italian unification, the Austro-Prussian war. This bike tour is suitable to everyone and it requires little or no training at all. The way back to Borghetto is mostly downhill, which makes it easier for everyone to enjoy the view and take some pictures.
