Overview
From the square of Custoza you will start the excursion along a varied path, where the reference point will be the Ossuary of Custoza, a historical monument to the fallen of the Italian Wars of Independence.
Relax and immers yourself in the countryside of Verona, discover the Terre del Custoza and the Mincio Park, an area characterized by green hills and ancient districts. You will live unique experiences where all your senses will be involved… on horseback, by bicycle, on foot and by canoe!
Itinerary
DAY 1 - TREKKING AND PICNIC
Arrival, check-in and accommodation in hotel.
Afternoon dedicated to a trekking experience, with an itinerary immersed in the hills of the Lands of Custoza, cradle of the famous Custoza DOC. You will discover the varieties of native vines such as Garganega, Trebbianello and Bianca Fernanda, typical of Veronese wines.
Away from traffic and stress, you will walk through vineyards, small woods and areas rich in flora.
Finally, you will arrive at a family-run winery where you can enjoy a picnic among the vineyards, while tasting some gastronomic excellences of the area, accompanied by great local wines. An experience that involves all the senses: from the scent of the vineyard to the aromas of the Veronese dishes.
Return, free dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 - CANOE in the river mincio
Breakfast at the hotel. Day dedicated to an exclusive experience in one of the largest natural river parks in Europe: the Mincio Park, the only emissary of Lake Garda. Starting from Pozzolo, you will canoe the waters of the river for about 2 hours, immersing yourself in uncontaminated nature, admiring a variety of protected animals and plants species in total relax. An unforgettable adventure that will take you to a unique setting: a mill from the 1400 where you will leave the canoe and relax for lunch.
From here, the return to Pozzolo is planned by e-bike alongside the river through fields and nature.
Return, free dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3 - HORSE RIDING
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning dedicated to exploring the Lands of Custoza in an authentic, unusual and exciting way… on horseback! An adventure for beginners and not only.
Inside the stable you will get in tune with your guide who will help you to become familiar with the horses…. now you are ready to go! For about 2 hours, you will ride through vineyards and fruit trees, while you listen countless stories about local traditions.
At the end of the ride you will reach by car the nearby town of Valeggio sul Mincio. You will taste a lunch based on the famous tortellini “Nodo d’Amore” in a typical fresh pasta shop: a product rich in history and traditions, accompanied by a good glass of wine.
On foot you can reach the village of “Borghetto sul Mincio” and be involved by the medieval atmosphere.
