Sweet Lessinia Trekking

Departure from Boscochiesanuova for a medium intensity walk of about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The route, with an initial slight climb, goes through pastures surrounded by nature. The path leads to the Laorno district, an agricultural brewery, a magical place where you breathe silence and enjoy the breeze from the beech woods. Visit of the brewery and beer tasting accompanied by a platter of cold cuts and cheeses. Accommodation in the rooms and dinner of typical Lessinia products. Overnight.

Breakfast and departure for an easy 4-hour trek, suitable for the whole family: one of the most beautiful paths in all of Lessinia straddling the border between Veneto and Trentino, a place of great historical as well as naturalistic importance. The view is wonderful: the peaks of Trentino, Val d’Adige, Valpolicella and Lake Garda, Monte Baldo and all of Lessinia. The route winds through pastures and huts within the regional natural park and reaches Castelberto at an altitude of 1765m, the terminal point of the plateau. The refuge is a faithful reconstruction of a military building from the First World War and in the immediate surroundings there are still the remains of ancient trenches dating back to the Great War. Surrounded by the beauty of the mountains, we can admire a fantastic panorama and enjoy a typical cuisine made up of traditional dishes from the Veneto region. Dinner and overnight at the refuge.

After breakfast we leave the refuge to reach, with a short walk, one of the most famous huts of Lessinia. You will have a splendid experience discovering the secrets of the production of mountain cheese. We will then continue with a simple trek through the malghe to reach the destination of the day: the Dardo refuge, a small corner of paradise where it is still possible to find the genuine flavors of Lessinia. Here colors, perfumes and silences mix giving a breathtaking panorama. An ideal place for the family where around a table you can enjoy malga gnocchi, ricotta and spinach dumplings, lasagnette with mushroom or truffle ragout and delicious homemade desserts. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, among beech trees and free pastures, we will walk a small part of the E5 path, one of the most famous of the European paths that winds from Venice to Brittany. The arrival of our route is a wonderful green area in an ancient district of the 1700s, completely renovated and transformed into a rustic and refined accommodation facility that offers a swimming pool and spa to relax at the end of the journey. Free afternoon and dinner at the hotel. Overnight.
